The Loomis Sayles Valor Employee Resource Group was founded in 2022 with the mission of supporting and connecting the firm’s military veterans, family members and military supporters through community engagement, education and other resources.
The Valor summer internship program, which is sponsored by the Valor ESG, is offered to college undergraduates and focuses on a combination of work experience, technical skill building and professional development. The internship’s goal is to build financial industry knowledge and skills while supporting acclimation from the military to the corporate world.
The financial services industry isn’t necessarily the first field people think of when considering careers after military service. However, the skills honed in the services, including teamwork, leadership, communications and adaptability, are all critical to successful investment management and the achievement of client goals.

Basic financial technical skills are required for this internship. These include Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as an ability to create simple graphs and charts
